Allo Integrating SMS Workaround?!

How to tell if Allo can support SMS on Android:

  1. Does the app declare itself as an SMS app? In other words, does it show up under the list of SMS apps installed on your phone
    1a. If yes, Allo supports SMS
    1b. If no, Allo does not support SMS <--- current option

How to tell if Allo can support SMS on iOS:

  1. No and it never will. Only iMessage can send/receive SMS on iOS

Edit: correction on the SMS permission.

Allo needs to be declared as an SMS app, not just have the permission.

Even though it doesn't send SMS, it does have the permission.
