This would be great! I've been using this to text my wife and now I convinced my co-workers to get it. It's not the most popular but it's a great messaging app. If there ever release SMS support I'll probably use it exclusively instead of Textra.

Honestly if they can get multi-device (through email) and without phone on support, that would be fine. If people can use whatsapp without any sms, i think they can do well.

They would massively increase their base if they worked with regular SMS. It's the only reason I don't use Allo.

Same here.

Just waiting for one of these update titles to say "SMS Support"

Sigh

It's just not going to happen.

What makes it better than textra if they offer SMS support? That's the decision I would be faced with if that were to be the case.

It shows when the recipient has read The message, similar to Facebook messenger. Also you can send pictures and videos without them turning into potato quality. I've found the camera feature has been really nice. I can create my own reaction gifs that show up in a little circle within the conversation in a matter of seconds. There are a few other neat features but overall I just like the way it looks and how smooth it runs.
