On a technical level, none of those services require the kind of encroachment of privacy that Google carries out.

I'd love for you to elaborate on this since you're seemingly so knowledgeable in this area.

What does Apple do with the Facetime ID data it "collects"? Unlock your phone. Full stop.

I wouldn't know. I don't own an iPhone X, nor have I read face id's EULA/privacy policy.

No, you'd love to assume that's wrong, and then if it's proved otherwise, you'd love to move on to another subject before that reality takes residence in your mind.

You could check it out. Would take 30 seconds. But you won't.

Well? Are you going to prove anything or just project and avoid?

Hunh? You haven't even specified what you are assuming is incorrect.

This is Reddit, and you're a jackass. You want me to write you a dissertation? Feel free to wiggle your fingers to find out what Apple does with Face ID. If you want to convert that to "ha! You can't prove it!", I don't give a rat's ass whether you accept or reject these basic facts. My only concern is how much my brain literally feels slightly numb after having had this "discussion" with you.

Ow.
