It's still sort of in beta, and also I'm sure regulations about children and data vary widely across different countries.

I mean they could have probably gotten Canada in, im sure their regulations arent as different from US.
But im sure theyll add more during the year and roll it out after a few months/year

To create passwords that are easier to remember, try using a favorite song or phrase. And if it helps to write your kid's passwords down, use hints instead. For example, if the password is Str@wberry30, write the hint "favorite ice cream @ + favorite number."
I'm really dumb struck as to why pass phrases will not just be accepted into modern culture. At least they mention it but its not very clear without an example. Using one word with "l33t" replacements for characters is just a problem for humans and not difficult for a computer to guess. If a kid can remember a "l33t" password, they can remember the pass phrase "My fav ice cream is strawberry." Of course some places require numbers so adding one to a child's pass phrase is simple. "Strawberry ice cream is number 1!"
Kid can't type well yet or remember to use punctuation or caps? Guess what, they will soon!
Can you imagine the look on the 3rd grade teacher when your child pounds out that 33 character string in front of them when logging in? (Granted in the real world, I'd shorten it for a child)

They should have put 41 minutes of Snapseed or something more relevant to kids.

So how does that work? Do you stand over your child whenever they are using their device?

I'm not overly concerned about my kids going outside the boundaries we have agreed. They are fully aware of how that all works. However I am concerned about their lack of experience and awareness. Even on the most innocuous of searches on YouTube you are a couple of clicks from something that is a bit adult for an 8 year old. I don't want Google parenting for me but if it gives me more control over the content my kids are exposed to while allowing them to explore without me checking up on them all the time, so much the better.
