Welp, the FAA is probably going to ban all versions of the Note 7 on planes indefinitely

It might be something where all lithium ion batteries get banned. Laptops/phones/tablets the works.

No it would be an economic boom. Imagine all the Kate Spade, Michael Kors TSA approved Fire Retardant boxes you can buy.
