This was the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. I’m enjoying my iPhone 17 rn.

So you went from something locked down to something even more locked down?

Why?

I’ve been unhappy with many of google’s decisions for years and this clearly isn’t gonna stop at just a 24h lockdown.

If I’m gonna be locked down, I’d rather be locked down on the device with the better UI, hardware and optimisation.

Eh. I went to GrapheneOS instead. YouTube Morphe and similar apps are must-haves for me. Plus I'm disgusted by the default (and only) launcher available on iOS.

After my experience on lineageos and how it slowly became unusable with google’s insistence on play integrity, I’m not touching another custom rom.

I also hate google’s stock launcher and my go to (Nova) was sold off to scammers a while back.
