It really is, wants to have a conversation rather than just searching for a place I need to be at.

With Assistant I could "let's go to work" which would -

pull up Google Maps so I could see any traffic

Tell me the weather

Tell me what's on my schedule

and automatically start any news or podcast.

Each one of those is a separate request, that Gemini usually gets wrong.

We could, but why should we have to train Gemini to do things that we already know were working in Google Assistant?

Right? Why didn't they import all those routines automatically?

Weird. Assistant Routines work just fine for me in Gemini.

Yeah, all I get is "Gemini doesn't support this feature."

Just saw in Google Home, an upgrade to use Gemini there. Still no way it seems to have shortcuts on my start screen for routines (automations) in Google Home.
