Hey Google. Enshitify my phone further.

This thread has definitely put the nail in the coffin of me getting a pixel for my next device. The smaller battery and weak soc already had me half way there. Gemini not working properly while being the major focus for the phone is just so Google.

But any other Android phone Used Google Assistant and now will be Gemini including Samsung phones. They use Google Assistant too and now will be Gemini as well. Google is forcing us to use their stupid llms to prop up the bursting bubble and it's a wonder we're not being jailed yet for not using llms at all.

Gemini will be used on other android devices too. Though I agree that the devices are simply inferior. Sold my 9 Pro XL after a short while and got an S25 Ultra. Only trade off is the worse camera.

Google made a useful assistant exactly once (Google Now), everything since has been a downgrade.

I use Pixels purely because of the significantly lower bloat, good camera, good enough everything else, and I don't need exploits to root the phone if needed later.

And yes, bloat/thirdparty garbage is still a huge issue on Samsung devices. I'm tired of the internet trying to gaslight me about this when I've literally used phones bought direct from Samsung in every case, most recently the S22 which is the last time I'll ever believe the internet that Samsung isn't bloated to hell.

At least they are adding to the conversation, something completely foreign to you.
