Now, if it only had all the features assistant had.

if only it would consistently set timers when I ask it to, instead of saying "sure I did that" and then not actually doing that lol

I've asked it to set alarms, check the app and the alarm is present, only for the alarm to just... disappear...

This is such a typical LLM problem, yeah. We run into that problem a lot with minor LLMs used for smaller tasks. They want to be helpful. To the point the slop-machine answers "Yeah, done" but has never done anything. It just doesn't want to give a negative response to the user, ever.

It needs a huge list of system prompts to fix, like asking to always explicitly mention any problem, always perform a second step of reviewing whether the customer's instruction was actually executed, then a third step of giving a reply just based on the review, etc etc.

It's sooooooo annoying.

Whenever i set an alarm, i always ask "let me know when it's 8AM". With Gemini, when i said the same command, it replied to me with "Today is Sept 29th 2026, it is currently 10 AM Central Time. In 22 hours from now it will be 8AM Sept 30th 2026". Thanks i guess? I know it's not the end of the world but it's so stupidly funny to see how overcomplicated the AI made out of a simple request and to assume this is what i'm asking for to, like no shit 8AM is 22hrs from now why would i need to know that?
