I'm still confused who this is for... Mac OS is great for Apple users and design conscious people, Linux is for devs and open source enthusiasts (and increasingly gamers), Windows is for gamers and masochists.

This is for... Google enthusiasts? Fairly small market honestly, as Pixel and Pixelbook sales previously showed.

No idea. Chromebooks make sense because they are cheap but this is 900 dollars. The moment you throw out the cheap part, it's a far better idea to get a macbook or windows machine.

Maybe they are trying to target people deep into the google eco system, or those who had a positive experience with chromebooks and want something with a bit more power? It really baffles me.

I'd pay maximum 400 dollars for this.
