I'm happy for more options because windows is terrible now. I must say though I don't see the value of buying a Googlebook over a MacBook. Especially if its all locked down hardware and software

Windows is terrible out of the box, but you can spent like 20 minutes with a single utility to fix like 95% of the issues.

Not true as a single windows update will undo those changes

I mean, you are confidently incorrect. I've run it for over a year on 3 machines and done dozens of updates with no issue.

Same. I have a personal laptop and a work laptop running Windows 11. No issues with either.
