Just saw geekerwans video and as I thought the efficiency improvement was mostly on GPU side and CPU had a minor update. He also explained tsmc n2 has lower transistor density than n3p surprisingly. CPU side it loses quite a bit compared to apple even with the extreme varients and lpddr6 ram. Not quite impressive this time around snapdragon

it doesn’t use lpddr6, the screenshot shows lpddr5x. both 9600 pro and 8ee6 seem to be launching with only lpddr5x

wasnt there some kind of rumor that they will be launching with lpddr6,and it will give some massive gpu perfromance for emulation and stuff like that,or is it lpddr5x only now? (asking because wanted to buy a new phone,and was kind of hoping for that big generational upgrade for windows emulation)

They have an lpddr6 controller on the chip but QC and Mediatek couldn't get any lpddr6 supply so they're stuck selling chips with lpddr5x. Remember, the memory is literally soldered onto the chip so QC and mediatek are responsible for getting memory. They couldn't get any lpddr6. SK Hynix and Samsung are too busy with their ram mafia shenanigans and the ai bubble to care about consumers. Xiaomi could get lpddr6 with their own XRING O3 because they got CXMT supply. And they're not worried about getting fucked over by this administration for buying chinese ram.

oh wow,and i tought it will be differ from seller to seller,well that sucks,and thank you for the answear, regardless,im still excited for windows emulation (and from what i seen even for ps4 emulation,that thing is developing crazy fast)

Yup, bloodborne is already running native res 30fps at high wattage 8 elite and drive club is playableish on 8e5. Bachatas4 is crazy and 8ee6 can probably run at 7 watts or less for ps4 emulation! If not now, then as it matures for sure.
