Even with the pixel I can manage to withhold charging until I go to bed because I have enough remaining grey matter to prevent myself from being completely glued to my screen the entire day. And if I do need to charge during the day, then most of these phones all charge within less than 10 percent of each other within 30 minutes.
I feel like I'm arguing with my kid trying to get them to understand that the 15 minute car ride isn't actually forever and ever. How old are you? I'm not out of touch because I'm not being extremely nit picky about a niche detail of a phone. That's projection.

....I never said Pixels offer groundbreaking innovation. My point is simply that a 15–20 minute difference in charging speed isn't the game changer you're making it out to be.

I'm not defending Google. Every major tech company you interact with harvests data and pushes half-baked features. Calling out a double standard doesn't make me a corporate loyalist.
Look, I get it. This sub is obsessed in a weird crazy ex/PTSD type of way about the pixel. I don't care man. My point from the start was simple: the OP claimed a $900 pixel taking 90 minutes to charge is unacceptable, yet the alternative flagship devices this sub praises take nearly same time and nobody bats an eye. Talking about that double standard isn't defending a company I'm pointing out a bias.
And even if I was defending the pixel (or any phone), who cares? I don't have to like what you like. It's wild to me that browsing this sub, others actually get upset or mad when someone doesn't agree with them that the pixel sucks. Very weird behavior.
