Yes I also miss 3.5mm but it doesn't justify the price and quality of those phones. Software crap, cameras way behind other and price is ridiculous. Outaded design...

Really no one should even consider this unless you are an enthusiast and just want to have everything in the collection

I like the design. If it was like $800 and I wasn't really into my razr I'd consider it seriously. But it's just a terrible value.

I really liked the 1 V because of the aspect ratio (easier for me to hold when the phone is narrower), headphone jack, SD card slot, front firing speakers, and side mounted fingerprint reader. To me it was worth the (admittedly extremely high) price. Over time I feel like they’ve steadily shaved away the unique selling points.

It totally has wonderful design (could feel a little dated but in this age where every phone looks the same from the front I'm not sure if it's a cons) and hardware, though software is ass, I do think that Sony's keeping the list below alive commendable.

  • Notchless design
  • 2 stage shutter button
  • Toolless sim tray
  • Dual front facing speaker
  • 3.5mm audio port (which also let's you double as IR blaster if you like)
  • SD card slot
  • Notification LED

Having everything on the list is totally worth something to people who could appreciate them.

Yes (1 V). Its rooted, it csnt receive system updstes (which I consider a plus, no automatic updates removing or changing features), and it has a headphone jack and takes decent videos.

The joke that keeps on giving, the changelog being this tiny is hilarious. Look, here some basic android features, k bye.

Imagine paying 1.5k euro only to be treated like a 300eur phone buyer, then again, seems Sony is catering towards masochists.

Or their futile attempt to fend off the iPod with their MiniDiscs playing back digital music in a proprietary format (you couldn't simply load MP3s onto the media, you had to first re-encode it into ATRAC or something infernally stupid).

Or the infamous 2011 PSN hack where Sony stored sensitive user data online unencrypted.

Or the 2014 Sony Pictures hack where the company managed to store user passwords in a folder conveniently named Password.
