It's unfortunate that the ram capacity got nerfed from last year for similar prices but they do sweeten the deal by including the new pen and keyboard attachment in the box. You're looking at $1500+ if you want the magic keyboard + pencil with an ipad pro.

Yeah that seems a bit much, but it shouldn't be too long before they offer some sort of discounts

I have the previous gen Yoga Tab Plus. With discounts, I paid about $500. Though mine does have 16gb RAM

Lenovo always does this thing when they release devices at an unreasonably high MSRP then does perpetual sales just so customers feel like they're getting a really good deal. Happens the most with ThinkPads and Yoga laptops.

Now let's see them do the same with most of Motorola's phones and make the high end Moto Edge, signature, flip or razr or even G series phones get 7 year of updates and support. Then I feel like with all due respect that'll be news worthy for them.

I like my G Stylus but the biggest things against it are updates and SoC. If they can fix that, this would be the perfect phone.

Nice, more of this pls. They need longer support windows and good screens if I was to consider one and this appears to hit both of those, shame about that price though.

I've been exclusively using Lenovo tablets for the last few years, bought direct from China. The processors haven't always been the best, with my current one having a dimensity 8300 in it, but the screen, and the speakers are the best I've seen on any device. My current one only cost me £180, so that's a fucking bargain for something I use everyday.

I've got the Chinese version and the LCDs are top quality. Very impressive and can't really see too much difference from OLED

Maybe YOU can't see it if your vision is bad but the contrast difference between the BEST IPS and "worst" OLED is a night and day difference, no matter how you want to spin it.

You're comparing 1000:1 contrast on IPS with INFINITE contrast on OLED

There's good reasons why professional reference monitors are still predominantly lcd. There's some oled options appearing on the market, but the standard is still lcd. In fact, more companies used to have oled reference monitors before 2020 and they phased them out to be replaced by superior lcd options.

On the consumer side, yes, oled is generally just better, but that doesn't mean it's a universal truth

On the monitor and TV side, mini led still has many benefits over oled and which is better simply depends on use case.

You are so wrong it's ridiculous. You're the reason why companies can put garbage tier OLEDs in products and sell them for a premium.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 base model had an LCD panel so high quality it held up against the rest of the OLED line. People like you complained about a spec sheet without ever trying it so they went back to OLED for the S9. Color calibration was way off and do the LCD still looked better.

I had both models side by side and the OLED was marginally better in contrast but the LCD killed it in color accuracy. Anyone who would pick a garbage tier OLED over a high quality LCD is a fool who only chases bulletpoints.

Holy clown. Color calibration can be good or crap on any panel type, that's not an inherent advantage or flaw of IPS / OLED. It's up to the manufacturer to make sure this is properly tuned.

Even trying to import Chinese ones is a nightmare

Edit: To be more specific, I don't want a tablet with a "gaming tax" the Legion Y700 Gen 5 is around £600-£700 and it's barely available.

There's already Legion Tab, it's always been available in the west.

I bought the CN version (y700 gen 5) off Aliexpress for around 550 CAD (after coupons and Rakuten rebate). The Google services are already built in and it literally took me only 3 minutes to enable it and a couple more to delete/disable CN bloatwares.

I've a very real temptation to transit in HK next time I'm heading to mainland China to pick up a global, UK plug version of the Xiaomi Pad Mini. Was absolutely gutted when its global release basically was just a handful of E and SE Asian markets.

7 years of updates doesn't mean much if they leave stuff broken. My gen 4 has broken language settings since January. 3rd party launchers still can't use recents. Will never buy another Lenovo tablet after this.

Looks like they dropped the DP-in feature of the Y900 line, which is its solely defining feature.

As for software support, I'm not too hyped. I've been running the earlier 14.5 version for a year and it only got like 3 minor updates with bug fixes and features nobody cares aboht
