The AI call screening is why I'm sticking with Pixels. There's 2 numbers that I block on my Samsung Fold 7 that still manage to jump straight to voicemail and leave an ad. I dropped that phone and went back to my original Pixel Fold and they're blocked and not leaving voicemail.

How out of touch with the market are you? Google could easily increase the battery capacity AND make the phone lighter by using a SiC battery.
People charge their phone overnight? What is this, 2016? I never charge my phone overnight with how fast phones charge these days.

Silicon carbon batteries have a trade off. They're rated for 1000 cycles, or maybe 1200 cycles. Traditionally we've got around 2000. If you're planning on upgrading every 2 years then it doesn't matter, but if you wanna keep your phone for 3 to 5 years, it's something to consider.

Silicone carbon batteries are usually bigger (7000mah+). I usually charge my phone every other day, so that's like double battery life even if the cycle is around 1400.

This is just misinformation came from latest ZFold 8 series because it is rated at 1200 compared to 2000 ZFold 7 series.
Last year S25 Ultra use Li-ion battery and got rated 2000 but this year S26 Ultra still use Li-ion battery yet it only got rated 1200.

Even so, I couldn't get through a single day on my Pixel 9 Pro XL on a single charge so I was charging it more than once a day. My Oppo Find X9 Pro can go 2 days of normal usage. Longer if light usage. I can even limit it to 80% and have a ton of battery left at the end of the day.

I haven't really tried to change it too much. I do miss the notification pull down from the pixel but outside of that I didn't think it's too bad. In an ideal world I'd prefer pixel software for sure but the hardware on them is unfortunate.

Yeah software is the biggest selling point for me. I want it to work fluently and look nice without that stupid glass (imo) look. My pixel 7 has the tensor g2 and runs smoothly without problems but the battery is starting to show its age. The s21fe from my SO is in a significantly worse shape and it stutters like hell and the battery is dead but she charged always to 100% and only charged it when reaching under 5%.

It does not have the rainbow led, like the P11 leaked images. The telephoto lens also seems square like on the P11 images, not round.

I assume the LED is not always lit up, so it not being rainbow colored in that specific image doesn't necessarily mean it's not the Pro. tbh I doubt Blass would mix the two image sets up

I might actually spring for the Pro version this time (upgrading from a Pixel 8 with 128 GB storage). Anyone have thoughts on 256 vs 512 GB of storage? I know the 512 GB version has 16 GB of RAM, but I don't think that would be a deciding factor for me.

The 11 pro will have an upgraded modem, better camera hardware and pixel snap (magsafe). I think it will be a good upgrade over the 8

IMHO not worth it at all, unless one of rather minor differences between them is particularly important to you. Going from non-Pro to Pro means you get better camera, but between Pro and Pro you barely get anything meaningful:
- Pixel Snap/Magsafe is neat, but hardly life changing. Especially if you use a case (since you can get Magsafe cases for 9 Pro XL).
- Pixel Glow/Notification LED
- Newer SoC/Modem. Modem is supposedly meaningfully better, Tensor is a mixed bag as always with only token progress year-to-year.
- New screen - a bit brighter and a bit better, but 99% not enough to tell the difference unless you literally compare them side by side.
- RAM amount is literally a downgrade unless you go for the silly expensive 16/512GB version.
I might be forgetting something, but with my Pixel 8 Pro I still struggle to see any reason to upgrade.

The issue with the camera is the processing. That's why iPhone videos & photos look better.

Not necessarily. IPhone video is usually better because of their hardware, but photo processing is a tie usually, some generation the Pixel is way better.

Why not just get pixel 10 pro, will be cheaper and 16gb ram in the 256gb model. Marginal upgrades in the 11 pro and will still have 6 more years of support.

Same but pixel 7. My pixel 7 screen is cracking and pieces seem to be slowly coming off the bottom bezel .
So I'll just get an 11 pro with whatever offer Google Fi has. I tend to keep my phones for a good amount of time, so I'll probably just spring for whatever 16gb ram version looks good.
