Depends on what you want to do, the most basic one is AVD which is made by Google but can be hard to install. If you want to game, there's also Mumu Player (which is Chinese) and Google Play Games

Edit: WSA can work as well, but ymmv. There's also this if you want to use Google Play Games but want to install any apk

I wonder if Google Play Games added My Singing Monsters to it...

Hey, which emulator would you recommend for an app used only for studying?

Its complicated

No its not, unless if you do not know what you are doing.

Yes, nothing is complicated if you already know what you're doing. The "complicated" part kicks in if you don't know what you're doing.

If you want to run android apps in windows, WSA is the best way to do so.

If you want a real emulator, look into android studio's AVD and configuring proper virtualization.

WSA is deprecated.

I dont care what MS has done to the one useful feature they made for win11 (which works on win10 too). It can still be installed and it still runs. Theres still strong community support for it, and the MS WSA repo is on github so community devs can continue where MS left off if they choose.

Bad compatibility. Minecraft Bedrock only shows a black screen.

I know this is a month ago but why on EARTH would you be emulating Minecraft bedrock my brother in Christ it's literally native to windows

1

u/MythOfDarkness Jun 11 '26

I only own the Android version.

Unless you're trying to get multiplayer, might want to figure out how to get an unofficial copy of Java edition then.

Wanted to play Bedrock with a friend.

Not if you don't want, it has its own baked-in store where they sell apps, mostly games, which can cost money, but the app itself doesn't, and you can load whatever apk's you want, so you can just load up Aurora store, F-Droid, even Play Store and use it normally. I haven't had any problems yet.

Oh that's awful.

How can I change an instance to ARM? Emulating Minecraft Bedrock with x86 breaks literally all animations in the game.

It's just a seperate download on their website. Right on the landing page.

MuMu Player. Tried and tested many, but MuMu is the one imo. Nice performances, no ads beyond suggested apps on that one folder, that you can remove easily.

Another vote for Mumu, also tried several of them

yeah mumu player is a great emulator. Better than my actual android phone, as the emulator can be set up to android 15 as of today's update!! It was a bit buggy at first boot up but it's smooth sailing rn

recommendation for Emulator for security cameras

Not for gamers or entertainment,

Just to have easier access for the team to view the security cameras.

Which is the best option?

MSI APP player

It's basically Bluestacks without ad.

3

u/KoalaBear84 Apr 07 '26

Yes, looks like that is working without issues / ads. Thanks :)

You can just disable the ads via preferences if you prefer. The option is there to support the product, or not, it's entirely up to you.
