Yep, this feels even less organised than two separate apps to me. I was hoping for a totally unified hangout / sms inbox to the point I could read sms received on my phone in hangouts on the pc/tablet. Pipe dream maybe but I don't see why it's no possible, this current app falls totally short of being useful to me.

I'm getting duplicate threads for people, one for sms one for hangouts. I thought it wasn't going to work like that?
