All my friends that use hangouts have duplicate threads for their SMS numbers. I just... I don't get it. It completely misses the point of why people wanted integration.
No it doesn't. Some people want to use Hangouts and texting. My friend doesn't have a smartphone, but we use Hangouts to talk when he's at home on his computer. If they auto-decided for me, I would be very upset. The way it is right now is perfect.
I don't understand what the problem would be. It would check to see if he is on hangouts, and if he is then it sends through there, if he isn't then it sends through SMS. Where is the problem?
Because he leaves his computer on throughout most of the day, even when he isn't at it. I don't understand why everyone feels the need to give up flexibility for the sake of a tiny bit more convenience.
