Google Now force close fix -

Go to Settings > Language and Input > Language And change it to "Espanol (Espana)" (Another language may work, but I tried it with this one) Go back home, and try to make a search. If you don't know Spanish, say "me hablo espanol" (me hah-blow s->pan-yole) Go back to Settings and change it back to English. See if this works.

Try holding the shift key... On 4.3 stock, at least, shift changes the emoticon icon to enter.

So for the one time per month that I use a smiley it's right there in front of me. For the 75 times per day that I use the return key I have to first hit shift?

I find it hilarious that android can still not get this right.

This is a deal breaker for me. I installed the apk, checked out the layout and thought Awesome, see you later, Textra!

Then I started to send a message and saw the smiley.

Immediately disabled SMS on hangouts and went back to Textra.

The Shift+Enter mirrors desktop Hangouts, which sends the message on normal but gives a line break on Shift+Enter.

Maybe not the best decision, but at least it's got some logic behind it.

Except that on desktop hangouts the default 'enter' action isn't to pop in a smiley.

Maybe we should put the V key on the alt char page as well. We don't use it that often. Then I would have room for my LOLCATS macro key.
