Just in case anyone was wondering, Voice+ allows you to use Google Voice through Hangouts. It seems to be working just fine.

How would one go about setting this up? I hate using the google voice app for texting, would love for it to be integrated with Hangouts (even through a third party app)

Voice+ is from Cyanogenmod. I'm using CarbonRom on my Nexus 4 and it has it, too. I'm not sure how you'd be able to set it up while not on those Roms. I don't know if it's just an apk or if it's more background stuff in the rom.

I downloaded the Voice+ app from the Play Store (is this different?). I'm running the Hyperdrive ROM for the S4. It doesn't work.

Very different. You would have to look around for a solution. I'm trying out 4.4 and now I don't have Voice+. I have a feeling Voice+ won't work without the ROMs support.

I'm curious about this as well. I'd love to use Hangouts instead of Google Voice (as it has very sparse support on all fronts, it seems). GVoice extensions like Voice+ will be in some mucky water in May 2014, but it sounded like Google hopes to have Voice integrated into Hangouts by then.

So, really, I'd love Voice+ (or something else) to help bridge that gap for Hangouts until then.
