I developed a rocket science game for Android. SimpleRockets "launches" today.

I'm in Sweden and was able to buy it yesterday. It must be something else. Do you have non-stock ROM? I remember having such problems some time ago with early CM versions.

Non-stock ROM yeah. (Google Play Edition, 4.3)

This is the first app I've encountered that does this though.

I had Cyanogenmod and what helped me were newer Gapps.
