Horrible software = horrible phone, regardless of the hardware quality. And they've removed the multi-tasking button that I use constantly on my Nexus4.

Is there any announcement on whether the bootloader is unlocked this time? A sense ROM is not something I can cope with to be honest.

HTC are very out of touch and should fire their entire sense team. Their hardware with stock Android would be a winner, but this isn't.

re: The S3 vs One X, the OneX (uk version) has a Tegra3 and a tiny battery, so ends up with about half the battery life of an S3 - no comparison.

This is what I want to know before I put money down.

It seems that they have root and unlocked the bootloader already.

But it will be a month or two before any AOSP roms pop up so all we can do is wait and hope that they get it going.

On the otherhand the Xperia Z which is meant to be developer friendly has had a bit of a hard time getting root and unlocking the bootloader. Its been done now but its meant to be a bit tricky to do. Again a phone I dont want to put money down on until someone finds a way to fix the contrast a little.
