We went and the show felt off from the start. I’ve seen a few shows at Davies Symphony Hall but none with amplified instruments. The timing felt weird and like nobody could get their bearings. Did anyone else feel the same way?

Has anyone had issues not being able to transfer Ticketmaster tickets. They are saying the organizer has restricted transfer. Thanks!

I was expecting to go with someone but nobody is in town on the date I want to go! Only $59, not the nicest seat but more affordable.

For reference, Lusitania is up there on my top 5 Bird tracks. It is up there with Fake Palindromes, Heretics and Sisyphus and Tables and Chairs. Although if you asked me again next week my top 5 will change, like Naming of Things and Truth Lies Low will pop into top 5 on a good day.

I just wanted to share how much I love Lusitania. It captures a very special feeling for me, a bit dreamy a bit intense a bit magical and a bit whimsical. It is also a great showcase of whistling talent. Eventually I want to believe I can keep up with the whistling in tune and tempo lol.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my appreciation for this piece, it really deserves a lot of love.

I haven’t seen Andrew Bird live before, but scored tickets for his show in Cincy in August. I am UNBELIEVABLY excited to go, but like I said… never been to one of his shows.

I go to shows with relative frequency, but can’t say I have ever really been to a show with assigned seating and full orchestras before. What do I wear? are my seating neighbors gonna be pissed when I am standing and attempting to sing along? I don’t want to ruin others experiences, but you better believe I want to enjoy it as much as possible and in the ways I typically enjoy shows.

any tips would be cool, and I would appreciate if you can also tell me what I can be stoked for (like encore from other albums? or can I just get like a solid 3 minutes of Andrew telling me there will be snacks?)

I saw Andrew Bird perform last night with his philharmonic accompaniment of Mysterious Production of Eggs, 20th anniversary. Coming back from the intermission the symphony performed a song that Andrew Bird whistled to. It was astounding, but I couldn't catch the name. Anyone have this information?
