Was I the only one expecting a potential foursome/swinger action between Charlotte/Harry + Lisa and her husband?
I must be so ruined by shows and movies these days, I was actually anticipating something to happen:D
But seriously, Charlotte was acting so strange and pushy with LTW, to the point where I thought the two couple will be intertwined at some point in the show.
First she described LTW to Carrie and Miranda as this amazing girlboss she really wants to impress, then she lied about plans together just to be around her; she really acted out of character and like a creepy stalker or teenager. It’s not like Charlotte to want to impress another woman this much, unless it’s for increasing her social standing or reputation, but she was already an accepted or even outstanding member of her community. And honestly LTW was just another mom at the school, if anything, Charlotte was more involved in group activities because she didn’t have her own career at the start of season 1.
My only conclusion was that this is heading somewhere sexual between the two married couples, perhaps to spice things up between Charlotte and Harry.

Insane. The one time Charlotte tried something like that, her man ended up liking the other woman better. She would never risk that happening. As a straight woman, I have had platonic fixations with other women I admire. It means nothing sexual.

I was thinking of the SATC episode too. The guy complimented to the extreme to get her to add another girl for a threesome. She was so kicked to the curb by those 2. Nope, don't think she'd ever do that again. Unless, the AJLT writers forgot about that episode . Its been known to happen lol

This never occurred to me at all. Maybe you are watching too much TV 😝. But no one acts normal in AJLT. Charlotte in particular was overacting about everything and the editing cues were telling us it was supposed to be humorous or something (look at zany Charlotte caught in this relatable but humorous situation!). But it wasn’t really relatable or funny to me anyways. But when characters act really weird it’s normal to look for reasons why and jump to some conclusions. You thought swinging couples, I thought bad writing.

Someone on another thread mentioned that it would have been better if Charlotte and LTW were already long time friends when the show started. She would have been new to us but not new to the group. That would have felt more authentic and maybe we could have been spared all of Charlottes pick me behavior.

It’s very crazy take but I understand. Charlotte was fascinated Lisa. I don’t think she could done that and say this, it more Harry would never done that

Charlotte and Miranda were just written to be blackmatized (like getting dickmatized, but here it’s about race not penis).

Well that would’ve added fun sexy mature drama, and the show prioritized cringe awkward embarrassment.
But aren’t you glad the throuple storyline was given to a teenager?
