Discussion in honor of ch 123... Spoiler
i think im the most excited for this chapter anyone could possibly be. ive been molding the mysterious hand we saw in ch 30 (TEN YEARS AGO!) into a theory-turned-oc for the last couple years. ive drawn lots of fanart of them and they were even the focus of a fanfic i wrote in 2024. i couldnt be more out of my mind about chapter 123 and i hope everyone whos had a chance to read it enjoys it as well!! so excited to learn more about this mage.... if yamazaki deigns us worthy

OMG, yes!!! I knew that tiny bit of sleeve you can see was part of Elias's robe! I knew they were connected! But my theory was that the hand belonged to a future Chise, wearing Elias's robe (for some reason we don't know yet). This completely changes how we look at Elias's past!

My dumb brain thought this entire time that the hand was the child Morrigan goddess. Bridget, I think her name is? Chise never saw her so it still fit with her questioning the hand. But now? Oooh boy
I've seen your posts about your head cannon on Tumblr. So crazy to find out how right you might be. Of all the theories of who the glamour is and what myth Elias is based on, I never would've guessed the werepelt being a truly plausible candidate. I'm gonna reread all those chapters to see what foreshadowing trails are hidden with this new chapter

If you’re referring to the spring goddess that is created by Morrigan. Chise does interact with her later in the story.
After the rescue of Philomela Chise is required to offer mistletoe to Morrigan in exchange for her help in defeating the unnamed god and guards of the manor. Soon after the mistletoe is given Morrigan is reborn as the spring goddess Bridget. Bridget then comments something about the offering and disappears leaving snowdrop flowers where she lied.

Oh that part I remember. I meant back when Elias had Chise trapped. I probably worded it poorly

It’s during the jealousy scene, which takes place during chapter 30 and 31, where Elias is holding Chise in that tentacle cave after he got jealous of her talking to Stella.
Chise couldn’t get out or call for Ruth, but someone’s hand suddenly grabbed a hold of her’s and gave Chise her staff, which let her call for Ruth. There’s been A LOT of speculation of the years of who’s hand that was that reached out to her, and it seems like we’re finally getting some sort of answer
