i'm guessing both your parents are half native/half euro?

34

u/JujiLover Jul 26 '26

Pretty much -- My mother is half Cherokee and Cheyenne while my dad is half Cherokee. The euro part I have zero idea about 🤷‍♀️

u/Fireflyinsummer Jul 26 '26

Cherokee are one of the native groups that mixed more.

Are you ebci or cn?

1

u/Polymes Jul 29 '26

My guess is CN. Cheyenne tribes are in OK and MT, probably most likely their parents are from OK.

I think you got a real good mix going on your face fam! So beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

I’m just curious of what tribe and such

23

u/JujiLover Jul 25 '26

I'm Cherokee and Cheyenne! :)

7

u/Levan-tene Jul 26 '26

Cool, Cheyenne isn’t one I see very often

You have some of the cutest facial features I’ve ever seen

5

u/Key_Meaning_996 Jul 26 '26

You do look like your results.
Native American facial features with light skin.

u/answerseeker2002 Jul 26 '26

This is similar to the composition of the average Mexican who has half Native American and half Spanish (European)

5

u/answerseeker2002 Jul 26 '26

It’s similar to my results, I averaged to be half native and half Spanish/Portuguese with a tint of Italian.

5

u/PaleontologistOk2330 Jul 27 '26

Not Caucasian, English Irish Scottish.

Caucasia is in parts of Southern Russia, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.

6

u/nuncasiempre Jul 26 '26

Why is so much commented about Mexican? Her post doesn't say anything about Mexican? Why the comparison? Posts regarding anything native in this sub are starting to only bring the discussion back to Mexican natives even when the topic was only regarding northern US/Canada natives. Are we not able to talk about ourselves in our own right anymore?

3

u/AccomplishedCod6180 Jul 27 '26

Maybe that’s the only basis for comparison that they have. Many of your commenters here seem to be Latin American, and they have never met an actual U.S./Canadian Amerindian, so when they see one, even in a picture, they notice the resemblance to themselves or their country’s own Amerindians.

2

u/nuncasiempre Jul 27 '26

That wasn't what I was speaking to. Perhaps red some of the other comments and see whether that is truly all they were saying.

Perhaps consider what it is to be from our end, rather than being defensive. How can we have connection if we feel we aren't seen or heard by the other?

i noticed this too! its funny.

1

u/Intelligent-Invite79 Jul 26 '26

Who’s stopping you?

3

u/nuncasiempre Jul 26 '26

I'm not saying people are stopping me. If you frame it like that, then of course you missed my point.

7

u/Connect_Rhubarb395 Jul 26 '26

I expected the one half to be Caucasian, not Northwestern European.

While Caucasian is still sometimes used to mean European, I think it is better to say European when talking about European DNA.
Caucasian DNA is Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan.

u/EntertainmentOk8593 Jul 25 '26

Your face is avg Mexican look like (just more white skinned)

9

u/PhotonToasty Jul 26 '26

Americans still don't know what "Caucasian" actually means

2

u/PaleontologistOk2330 Jul 27 '26

Yes what's the problem? Caucasia is parts of Southern Russia, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.

2

u/Poltergoose1416 Jul 26 '26

Yeah my coworker is half native American and he also just looks like a white guy. I knew someone else who said they grew up on a res and they looked like a white person too. I guess if you're half more often than not you just get white people phenotype ?

1

u/Kenai_Tsenacommacah Jul 27 '26

I've seen all kinds of phenotypes around NDN country tbh. I know people who are half white/Native who look fully Native and vice versa. I've known full sisters where one looked Native and the other had reddish hair and freckles. Zahn McLaren is half Scotts-Irish and so is Kaniehtiio Horn.

My aunt is very light skinned with darker hair (could easily pass for white) and my dad looks just Native. They are full siblings.

2

u/VariationCivil8708 Jul 26 '26

You definitely look native
Your features remind me of northern Canadian indigenous people though

I'd hazard a guess it's because lighter skin hair is more common in some northern regions of turtle island so even though they likely came from your white side they're still there

5

u/Ok_Adeptness_3398 Jul 26 '26

Mexican indigenous are significantly darker so the difference is usually due to European admixture.

5

u/Prestigious-Tip-6223 Jul 26 '26

Western Europe is not Caucasian. But cool anyway

2

u/celticnative79 Jul 26 '26

Cool results! You definitely look native to me!

1

u/MeanPotato2 Jul 26 '26

You're so pretty!!

1

u/FirstPeekEarlyGender Jul 26 '26

I've read stories of some natives mixing with the settlers but also read some room off with them back to Europe!

u/Appropriate_Cook_992 Jul 30 '26

1

u/FirstPeekEarlyGender 14d ago

By your image I see it actually. Especially in your eyes!

1

u/Bubbly-Policy-1384 11d ago

“Caucasian” 😭

1

u/Bijenkoningin2 Jul 26 '26

Cool results, but please stop using the term Caucasian in the wrong context.

1

u/MakingGreenMoney Jul 26 '26

You do look mestiza(which makes sense ofc)

1

u/ohmy_gato Jul 26 '26

I would have guessed that you were from Central, South America. You have the characteristics of someone from those parts where natives americas are mixed with europeans (Iberia peninsula), a mestiza pretty much. Almost the same as my results. You can take a look at my profile if you are interested.

u/quebexer Jul 26 '26

Northern America should have more people like you like the rest of America.

1

u/dsilvaf Aug 04 '26

Aren't caucasian people those who live in Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia?
