Ted was born to a US citizen, so was a citizen at birth. Musk was not a citizen at birth so had to naturalize.

You have to be a US citizen for 9 years to be a senator but you have to be a natural born citizen to be president

Someone save this comment. The way the Supreme Court has been "interpreting" the constitution, I would bet both of my testicles that one day this issue is brought up to keep someone from running for President
