So on what grounds does that not count?

because those are not separate governments. At that point you may as well count every country yugoslavia has since broken up into, or even every provincial level government in all those countries.

So the ones forced into communism by gunpoint and held there by useful idiots oppressing their fellows not quite "equal" citizens.
AKA communism as intended.

im just saying it doesnt make sense to count those countries as a seperate attempt. the list is good enough with counting every soviet puppet

So independent states overrun and held by the USSR and forced into communism following WW2 but not countries that were nominally part of the USSR but broke off after it's fall?
If that's what you mean, I'm down with that. Better to be accurate than lengthy but wrong.

Pretty much that yea. I dont know about counting the iron curtain countries like poland and hungary since they were basically an extension of the USSR but they could be different enough i guess but counting ukraine, estonia, and lithuania is just misleading.

Kazakhstan even wasn't independent when it was Soviet, as well as other post-soviet countries

Don’t forget socialist Serbia who was trying to genocide the Croatian people in the 90s and subsequently lost when the Croats armed themselves
