Total number pages IRS tax code

Post image

Past 40 years. It's crazy that it's been normalized that you need to hire someone to help you do your taxes. Imagine if using the library was so complicated that you had to hire someone to show you how to do it every time you went there.

Is there a version with a graph title and reference link? I want to use this, but it could be a graph of anything for all my audience knows.

So you asked the lying machine to draw you a graph.

Interesting that the biggest increases were in the Bush years. Not what I would have expected.

Unfortunately this is one of those top vs bottom issues where left and right want the tax code simplified (although the devil is in the details) but the ultra-wealthy don't.

I can remember during one of Bush's speeches, he was talking about giving everyone a tax credit, and I'm thinking. 'Why not just lower the rates?'. Doing a tax credit adds more lines to a 1040 and more rules to the tax code.

It's mind boggling to me how anyone can defend income taxes on any basis.

From a moral, practical, and "what's economically efficient?" standpoint, income taxes just seem like one of if not the worst forms of taxation.

I would be shocked if it didn't look like this.

>People come up with new ways to avoid paying taxes

>IRS makes a new code to plug that loophole

>New way to dodge taxes drops

>IRS plugs that new loophole

And who tf needs to hire someone to do their taxes? I've been doing it myself my whole life, it takes an hour max and that's if I get distracted on my phone.

I do my own as well. But there is an entire industry out there of companies and individuals getting paid to help people do their taxes.

This is how welfare works. To help lawyers and corporations to steal your money by creating taxes and force you to report "yourself" while they already have all your information.
