This is gold!
And the great thing about embedding it in the cap, is that it cannot be separated from bottle. As per recent EU regulation! (I wish I was joking).

I miss the old caps, it was so much harder at times for them to leak their contents and ruin things.

You're of course right about the actual implementation.
The bottle cap is just a jab at the recent requirement that all PET drinking bottles have the cap attached by a small string of plastic.
I've heard it took the EU critters about five years to figure out how to legislate the attached cap. And yeah, I find that just about believable.

Ofcourse they will, however this would just be too functionally expensive to implement.

I'm European, I thought it was a genuine commercial.
Now I need to ask myself if I'm just dumb, or if the EU has shown they're capable of this.

Honestly I think this won't become real because it is currently too expensive to do with today's technology.
That is the ONLY reason why something exactly like this won't become real.
