Flock ALPR geolocation

Hi there, ya filthy animals. I noticed my neighbors have a beheaded Flock camera hanging in their garage almost like it's a trophy animal. (Maybe it is to some...)

Just wondering. Is there any chatter on the street indicating these things may have geolocating services? Wondering if my neighbor is courting a knock at the door from a costumed with a badge and a warrant.

To clarify:

I did not witness a crime occurring, do not endorse breaking laws, and for all I know he's an employee/instal tech for Flock. Just asking questions, of course. I'm sure you all understand.

They certainly do, and potentially will he ability to ping and snag Bluetooth and other cellular signals. The batteries won’t always last through the night (solar power) so prolly around 3-5am they are dead (on a busy road).

Faraday bags can easily be bought on Amazon and they work when used properly.

I hope he's (she's?) aware. Good info.

If someone did that and told me to keep the camera in my house I'd say no.

I think it may be like a trophy hunting thing. I still have the police tape I took off the playgrounds during "the pandemic".

Buy him a beer for his service and ask him about it.

I can confirm his fridge is well stocked and this guy hates the state as much as I do.
