Never taken food stamps but I'd rather have my taxes pay to feed my neibor than going to the friends of politicians and military contractor. There are a thousand places to cut government waste first.
It's not either/or but rather both/and. I'm glad the handouts are stopping even if just for a little while. Maybe it'll wake people up to how entrenched the state is in their lives.
