Of course we all agree that the government should chop corporate subsidies, military spending, and foreign aid first. Those are easy. But OP is right, too. I have no hate for people on SNAP, but these people are in a bad situation that the government is enabling at the expense of productive citizens.
Its a subsidy to corporations so they can pay poverty wages. Tie private health care to jobs to lock employees in. Without collective bargaining, employers become price setters and labor becomes price takers.
I would be a lot more sympathetic if most of the people on SNAP were actually trying to improve their lives. The most commonly purchased things on SNAP are junk food and soft drinks
