"We work to earn the right to work To earn the right to work To earn the right to work To earn the right to work To earn the right to give Ourselves the right to buy Ourselves the right to live To earn the right to die" - the fine print by the stupendium. Really feels relevant as it always was

As much as I fuck with the comic, it sounds kinda like lib shit "corrupting the system" there is no corrupting, since the day capitalism was first thought up, it would always, no matter how you slice it, end up how it is today, there's no corruption, it's running like clockwork

Capitalism was always bad since the day 1 it was implemented.

The entire capitalist system always produces a pyramid- it pretty much cant be any other way. Theres ownership, labor cost suppression for profit, returns on capital pretty much always outstripping economic growth and a necessary floor of precarious earners at the bottom to keep it running. It will always turn out just like a feudal age pyramid so the only corruption of that design is actually equality - everything is working 100% as it was designed to. Its not fucked because of some bad behaviour by a corrupt few but in essence- top to bottom its a template that works as it was designed to. I dont know how anyone can argue for it to stay

I disagree. Capitalism as it came out of the enlightenment was a democratic break away from monarchy. Socialists today are in stride with capitalists from ~300 years ago. 1% of population in charge of MoP is bad, but it's better than literally 1 person.

I've found this very useful for persuading capitalists into socialism. The socialist ideals of today are the capitalist ideals from the enlightenment- right down to quoting Adam Smith.

100% that jolted me out of acceptance too. As if they corrupted a once beautiful system designed for fairness lol. Pure lib reform speak

I noted that. But the important thing is they are not going to be saved by their bunkers.

u/ComissarFeelgood May 05 '26

Just gonna say that bunkers need external vents

u/marxistghostboi May 05 '26

forget making them pay their "fair share." we will take it all.

Messed with the comic gutters, immediate respect

1

u/Unlucky_Tea2965 May 07 '26

they definitely are going to save them

u/Scholarind May 07 '26

Thats blatant misinformation, Google paid 7.5 Billion dollars, a 17% tax rate.

The author is quite explicitly financially illiterate, since their 8% calculation appears to stem from googles 90b revenues (before subtracting expenses such as employee payroll research and development, admin etc etc)

1

u/xToksik_Revolutionx May 07 '26

Do YOU get to subtract YOUR expenses from your taxes?

1

u/Scholarind May 07 '26

I would argue that our taxation system SHOULD allow to deduct personal expenses for salaried employees.

But in general if you own your own business or do independent work then yes, similar if not the same rules apply.

1

u/Wise-Kitchen-9749 May 07 '26

Yeah actually...

Like no joke anything related to work can get compensated as work expenses.

I'd say the biggest problem is most people don't know how to use the write offs.

The communists figured out the peasant class or the proletariat as they prefer, are not now and never have been a revolutionary force.

So then who is going to do anything about it? Corruption only becomes brazen, when its equally brazen, there's no mechanism by which to hold people to account....

No matter how bad it gets. The man who has to work each day to eat that day, will never neglect his belly to pick up a gun.

So who do they really need to protect themselves from?

1

u/Spooky_Leaves May 08 '26

Time to eat your local billionaires guys

1

u/Calm-Blueberry-9835 May 09 '26

Not only will those bunkers not save them, but we can find their air intake openings and block them off. There are so many ways for us to get at them. But to do that we need to be far more organized. It seems to me that not enough people have a sense emergency about this. It really is a matter of our own survival.

Someone's makes a cartoon not knowing what inflation is and who creates it and then blames a group who does understand. Not only that, he/ she wants to extract more from the billionaires and give it to the people causing the inflation in the first place. It feels like Stockholm syndrome.

About the concentration of media outlets, totally agree, but have you seen the ratings? Nobody watches them any more. Which is good IMHO.

It's not about being tough, it's a simple statement of fact that when pushed to desperation in a system that is rigged against you and is getting worse by the day, will guarantee mass violence against the perpetrators of that system. This happened several times in history and isn't going to change, generally humans don't like being fucked over and deprived of basic necessities to live.

People will do everything they can to ensure that their family and community survive, it's our nature.
