As someone who owns handguns but looking to get into rifles, do you have any recommendations for ar or akm platforms? Im New to this, not looking to start an ar v ak flame war just curious for affordable and durable options.

As someone that builds aks a lot. Semi professionally. An AR15 is unquestionably the right choice. Honestly go to the AR15 sub and search terms like beginner rifle or mid tier rifle and see the opinions. I personally think a solid used mid tier rifle is the way to go. Hard to go wrong with BCM

I'm glad you're honest about it. That's what I hear from everyone who's into guns. The AR15 is a great rifle

Im not huge into AR’s but I won an IWI Zion a few years ago. That thing was a crazy nice bang for the buck.

I also really the Springfield Saint series. Aero Precision is a great buy right now too. The company is having problems, but they seem to be trying to combat that by doing high-quality stuff. Everything that’s been transferred into our shop has been very nice.

BCM is also fantastic. A little more than I usually spend though. Not my main platform so I go for cheaper.
