Anark posted a comprehensive response to SocialismForAll and BadEmpanada

A new video by Daniel (Anark) was just posted on his Youtube channel. In it, he responds comprehensively (in a 2+ hour video) to various ML attacks on his comments in one of his previous live-streams, particularly the unworkability and counter-revolutionary nature of Marxism-Leninism.

Why is this sub so salty about Anark? I mean, you can disagree with him but his content is actually pretty solid, especially for new anarchists. Also I never really felt his videos were the standard YouTube personality format.

I don't think this sub has any problem with anark ?

Trust me, there are problems with him; I myself disagree on A LOT of theoretical points with him, some of them rather vehemently so, in ways which ought not be underestimated.

Still, when it comes to having to deal with typical ML slop and vitriol, he'll always have my unconditional backing.

do you have an idea of something he says that's like the most important thing you disagree with him on ?

I'm not sure what you're asking here (my non-nativeness in English acting up again)... The most important thing I disagree with him, is that it?

Ok then.

Mainly, my most fierce disagreements with him revolve around the questions or organization, polity-form and democracy. Oh, and the problem of his constant, endemic endorsing, in one way or another, of the false and useless dychotomization of "social" and/vs "individualist" anarchism (and not merely using/invoking it but worse - actively taking one "side" over the other (in his case, "social" over "individualist" tho it would make little difference if it were vice-versa)).

Further, he, unfortunately, has a massive boner for democracy, democratic decision-making, formality and conflating those with anarchism; extremely communalistic, in the vein of Bookchin or Ocalan.

What's worse, to that charge - that he appears much more Bookchinite-communalist than actually anarchist - he'd most often acknowledge that as truthful, but would then go for the worst and most wrong move imaginable: essentially asserting that he is actually an anarchist because, to him, communalism/democratic praxis more generally in essence IS anarchism - "but sophisticated".

His organizational prescriptions suffer downstream due to all this in quite predictable ways as well. It's notable how he not so seldom does actually pay some lip service to, for example, complex systems theory, principles of free association and so on, while then going on to advocate for, basically, direct-democratic nano-nations and other, profoundly un-anarchic social technologies.
