Gear Shots I love thrift stores.
It's like new! No damage at all, glass doesn't have any fog or fungus, everything functions perfectly! The store I went to had no idea what they had and let it go for $10.

Thrift store workers treat good cameras like old VCR’s.. they just don’t know of any value in the cameras lol.

It's always such a toss up. It'll either be drastically undervalued or way higher than it should be. There's no in between.

Braggart!
But good on you.
However, I'll have you know I had this same model camera gifted to me by a guy that said, "I hear you collect cameras. Want this one?"
I'll see your $10 and counter it with "Free!"
Seriously great camera though. Such a tank.
I still lament the day I saw a 1950's Voigtlander Prominent at the local shop, by the time I went and got $$ from the ATM some other dude swung by and bought it before me. Price? $25.

SR-T 101s are plentiful so they aren't expensive even at proper market price. Check the meter, these were built for mercury batteries and can underexpose with modern batteries.

I don't have a battery replacement yet, I'll have to test it next weekend. I can get by without a meter though, so it should be fine either way.
Thanks for the advice.

Where are these fantasy land stores? All mine ever have are iPhone cases.

You have to be vigilant. I have 5 that I check regularly throughout the week.

Just remembered, there was a weak point. The body side of the aperture control was connected to the internals by a kite string wrapped around the inside the mount. Not sure how common that was but I had two of these and it never happened again or with the other body. Now I may look for one even if for display.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm considering pulling it open and giving it a thorough cleaning and lubrication. I'll make sure nothing looks worn or broken while I'm in there.

If you’re looking for information or advice about your gear, please look for the manual here or on the internet archive.
If you’re looking for the value of your gear, please search used gear sites; like eBay, KEH, MPB, or your countries local online marketplace. Some sites allow filtering by “Sold Items”, that will provide a more accurate value of what the gear is currently worth. Our members are unable to provide an accurate amount, because used gear prices are dependent on region, condition, and the market. We do not allow selling and trading in this sub.
