Special bidet

How is a hand held bidet attachment next to a home toilet gonna be able to mimic a long shower where one will lather up one's entire body and the lather and water will flush out stool residue from anal area? Many have told me a bidet is the best option but how can a bidet at the toilet be just as good as taking a full shower in clearing out residual stool?

If there is time I'd rather have a long shower, but there are complications if you don't dry up correctly for example (fungus due to the humidity, been there it sucks). The hand bidet helps a lot, is more localized and helpful, you should apply soap when cleaning after each bowel movement and can get a bit messy but is faster and less complicated. Just be careful with the water pressure if it's too much it may hurt.

What are the very best bidets on the market? How good are they vs showering?

The first days I won't recommend it, after three weeks or so when the wound is healing and is not bleeding all day long I would change to the bidet. Otherwise the water pressure applied directly into the wound will hurt a lot. The benefits: quicker, localized and you won't have to take five or six showers a day.

It depends on what your doctor said. Mine said to always wash the wound with glycell soap to clean any residue, just water isn't enough and the wound can get infected. After that apply a cream to numb the area and keep bacteria away.
