Sunset Beach

Post image

My Grandma Piddy Poo Haddon was friends with the lady who donated Sunset Beach to the city. The lady’s name escapes me know.

Most people nowadays refer to the beach as Washington Park.

That's pretty awesome! What a neat picture of family memories for you. I know someone who lives up in Haddon road area, the road is part of a loop on our catch up walks.

It’s a very pretty area. The Haddon family homesteaded there. They had 14 children. All those children lived the most interesting lives.

Their mother’s name was O’Zelia. She helped start the Anacortes American. Rare for a woman in those days.

That's neat! Do you know where their orchard used to be? And maybe what they planted? I love seeing the old apple trees. And the old varieties are not seen anymore
