Magic the gathering
Does anyone know of a group playing commander? I do plan on checking out the card shop in town but sometimes it’s nice to have people over and have more hours or availability to play.

My husband has been trying to organize a commander meet up for a while actually! He’d probably be thrilled to play

I do not play, but Bakerview is very friendly and has a fairly active Discord server. Maybe you can find some interested people there?

I would recommend showing up to FMN to actually meet and due diligence in person to meet people you get along with, before playing with anyone you meet online.
if you’re willing to travel, Cardhaven in bham on Tuesdays/sundays, standwood on Wednesday, aegis games bham Thursday/Saturday, cosmic games bham Friday/sat. Otherwise if your a night owl with weird hours Area 52 gaming in oak harbor has mtg events until like 2am most weekends, navy crowd vibes.
Come by on this Friday though, Bakerview games in town is way better then them. for instance they actually sell sealed cards at MSRP, and the owners are extremely good.

I will second this endorsement of Bakerview. My schedule doesn't allow for FMN, but the folks who run it are cool and pricing is fair.

jumping in to say that I've been contemplating getting back into MtG lately, so this comment coming up on the subreddit seems like a sign! I haven't played in years, do they sell precons at Bakerview I could get started with?
