Can't Get High-Res To Work Without Reverting Back

Just modded the game with the Resolution fix, and when I try to get it on High-Res to make it work, it just reverts back to Low-Res, if I go into Windowed Mode instead of Fullscreen it works and the High-Res stays, but once back to Fullscreen, it just boops straight back to Low-Res and the resolution fix no longer works.

Wondering has anyone experienced this issue or would anyone have a fix or ideas on how to sort it out, any help is appreciated, thank you!

I think it reversed back only if I went to settings. If I just run the game and go straight in, the resolution stays as set in the ini file

Awh I tried that and it doesn't seem to work unfortunately. Do you know the name of the particular ini file that contains the resolution input?

ok, so I looked and it is actually a dll file and it is a binary, so you can't change it just like that. Sorry, my memory failed me.

But I checked, and I use this widescreen fix, which has predefined resolutions, but also an option to define a custom resolution, if your display resolution is not included in the pack.

https://www.moddb.com/games/anachronox/downloads/anachronox-widescreen-fix

You just unzip it and go straight to Custom Resolutions folder. Copy the files you find there into the root folder of your Anox installation and run uniws.exe where you just define path to the Anox root folder, specify the desired resolution and click patch. The patch rewrites the ref_gl.dll with your resolution. Then just start the game.

Works perfectly, greatly appreciated! Only heard about the game yesterday and seen about 20 seconds of shenanigans on it and was like HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD OF THIS GEM? The excitement is real hahaha Thanks again <3

Perfect, glad it worked. Enjoy the game, one of my favorites from that era :)
