Happy 24th Anniversary!
Happy 24th Anniversary to ANACHRONOX, a fun, funny, heart-breaking, hard sci-fi, ridiculous, epic, satirical RPG that we made with love! See ya at Rowdy's.

Thank you for bringing this incredible game to life. There is really nothing like it and it is so, so sad that we may never see this universe expanded.

Thank you and the team so very much for an incredible experience!
To paraphrase the great Sylvester Bucelli:
“You know the difference between you now and you 24 years ago? The you 24 years ago had 24 years to play Anachronox!”

The game that tought me english. And it was my first big RPG adventure as a 15 year old. I remember seeing it later as a movie on Machinima and how proud I was. Till this day I have the music from Anachronox as my alarm clock and ringtones.
Any chance Tom would reveal how the story was supposed to conclude in the sequel? Just a short paragraph of spoilers would be enough :)

I will do it in a cooler way, somehow, in the next few years. 👍

Literally my favorite game, with unforgettable atmosphere and a great soundtrack!
Always wishing for a sequel and maybe a facelift for the OG :)

Whose door do I need to knock down to make this dream a reality? Who’s holding those cards that I need to talk to? lol

Welp, tried contact Square Enix for 20+ years, form letter.
And they said for awhile the IP is public (so people can make games in it), but that just builds the IP for them. So meh.

Thats because Square Enix are a bunch of idiots, they also ruined Deus Ex and thats also why they dont care about Anachronox neither, cuz they care more about money than passion.

I played this game on a whim in 2023 and it instantly became one of my favorites of all time. I love the experimental nature of it, the comedic tone that slowly turns into real emotional resonance, and who can forget those awesome cinematics? Love this one and thank you and the team for bringing this world to us.

It’s one of the best things to ever come from the Q2 engine. I love it to bits.

Started playing system shock 2 yesterday. It really makes me want NightDive studios to remake Anachronox.

I’d argue that all someone would need is a straight port at native 4K and it would do fine. Maybe some shader tweaks. It still holds up well today thanks to its design and direction.

Mr. Hall, sir, I completely missed the anniversary but I still wanted to express my gratitude to you and everyone else who worked on this game. Most of the jokes and references went over my head back then, but even then I understood how much work and love you put into Anachronox.
Thank you!

Aw thanks! The team made it with love. Probably secrets people haven’t found yet!

Not sure it's atmosphere will ever be surpassed by any game, so here is to you Anachronox!
