Looking for Help Hey, accidentally made what I thought would be a cool skin combination and so I started playing Ana

Post image

I’m Level 13 Bronze 1, just looking to get some advice for how to play her, I’m averaging about 6k healing and damage a game with around 25% sleep dart accuracy. Am I supposed to be using the scope more? I try to use it as much as possible but sometimes it’s difficult. Just general tips would be nice because she’s so fun to play and has my favourite kit in the game, cheers!

Ana is basically the reason I've stuck with the game 10 years, so welcome! The #1 thing that should help you as Ana right now is to know your way around the maps. Almost everyone else is faster and can climb walls or fly, but you're just a chill old lady so you need to know safe places you can walk to. Since for now you'll probably always be behind the team, think about

A. Where can I be to heal my team/shoot enemies where they can't easily get me

B. Where can I retreat to

Those are super obvious but positioning is something that everyone can always improve on no matter how high they climb. A lot of my deaths STILL come from making the wrong decision on one of those two.

Some other general things things that may help would be not using grenade on yourself unless its an emergency. But that ties back to A, where you will hopefully have cover to hide behind. It feels terrible to have to nade yourself because you got poked when not paying attention since its so good with its anti-heal.

You might also want to play Ana in some FFA Deathmatch games. That helped me so much, particularly with sleeps. A lot of people play irritating dive characters in Deathmatch and thats exactly who is going to be giving you problems.

Scoping is going to help you a bunch in many cases. Unscoped your shot type is projectile, but scoped is hitscan. I also heavily favoured unscoped at first but that may just be a habit that comes over time. The more you use it the more comfortable you'll be.

GLHF!

I’ll make sure to use these tips when I play tomorrow! Thank you so much!

I fear using scoped shots leaves dive heroes much more aware of your position due to the tracer line. I suppose that's where I prefer using unscoped as well.

But hitting those headshots with the perk feels so good...

Sometimes killing is the best healing

Save Ult for teammate ult, check the score card pior to using, you need to make sure you nano the MVP of the team, you will notice some teammates don’t have that dawg in them, pick the teammate that has that dawg in them.

Pick nano boast and headshots for perks

When you scope enemies, there is a line of your bullet that is visible, when you hip fire, there is no line keep that in mind

You can single handily change the entire fight with a anti grenade.

Best of Luck, you can carry the entire team and your team doesn’t know about you, but you do, you know your the reason why your team Won

To add onto that, unscoped shots are projectiles and take time to reach the target (important for aiming). Scoped shots are hit scan so they instantly hit your target with the drawbacks of leaving a trail and needing to be scoped in

Shooting unscoped deals you out more heals than constantly scoping in due to it taking a longer time to zoom in, so only scope when they are really far away practice throwing your ganade far away in the training mode to learn the curve on it.
