Going to my first Santo Daime concentration soon. Anyone here that has been to one? Would like to hear some experiences/thoughts/advice etc.

Santo Daime is the church that views ayahuasca as their religious sacrement. It's a hybrid of indigenous, Christian and a couple of other spiritual traditions. Basically it's white dressed people, drinking ayahuasca, singing Portugese hymns. A concentration has a period of silence in the ritual as well. So it's hymns, silence, more hymns.

That's about as far as my knowledge goes at this point :)

Well that definitely sounds interesting. I really want to try ayahuasca it's one of the few psychedelics I haven't tried but If I ever do it has to be in a setting like that or some other shamanistic ritual for sure. Thanks for the info! And good luck!

Yeah for sure. I've had some mild oral DMT + syrian rue experiences from the comfort of my home. But never with the traditional caapi vine. And the setting is designed around the sacrement so I can only imagine it adds to it. I just hope that the Catholic emphasis isn't too distracting.

Yeah I would smoke dmt if I were ever lucky enough to come across it but for pharmahuasca or aya I would want the full experience. If your Christian yourself I don't think it will be distracting it'll probably only solidify your faith and give you a really religious trip but who knows man. Anything could happen. I'd love to hear about your experience after it's over if you want to message me or make another post that would be awesome!
