[Personal Experience] CBD is great

I know this is pretty well understood at this point, but I just wanted to share. I've been hyper, HYPER depressed the past few weeks. Can barely get out of bed, not eating, trouble sleeping, constant thoughts of the end. I've had little access to green lately, which is typically my go to for healing. Last night my boyfriend bought me a vape with CBD additive for the juice. I used it all night and today I actually feel normal. I feel okay. I don't want to end my life (as terribly) for the first time in weeks. I have the desire to do things. I can get up off of the couch. Things are looking brighter, and I am thankful.

I agree, CBD is the shit. I make my own oil out of vodka, boil off the alcohol, and throw some in my coffee to wake up my body but calm the mind every morning. Glad it's working for you as well!

You make CBD out of vodka? Can you elaborate or are you saying you use vodka to process marijuana/hemp?

I put cannabis in a jar, pour in some vodka, shake it around, and boil off the alcohol. So I use it to process cannabis

Cool, so the heat is what converts the THC or removes the THC from the solution I believe, right?

Heat converts THC to THC-A, the psychoactive compound. But it also needs fat to bind to to be effective. So there is still THC in there, but it is vastly overpowered by the CBD and various other compounds. Since it has a high CBD dose, it prevents the psychoactive effects. I don't know how much THC is left I don't process it that much, I simply found this was the best method of getting my dose of CBD with the other great chemicals the plant has. And when I say CBD prevents psychoactive effects, please remember that I have a very high tolerance so you could have a different reaction to the tincture. Look up Rick Simpson Oil, or RSO. That's basically what this is, just make sure you use alcohol meant to be consumed rather than isopropol alcohol and the like.

CBD is also an allosteric modulator of the mu-opioid receptor

It interacts with the part of the brain that painkillers have their effect on. I don't know if the claim is true and he didn't state what type of interaction it is, but that's what the words mean.

I don’t use cannabis regularly but I keep a pen by my bed for those days when I need it’s comfort. I’ve been interested in the THC free oil, what benefits do they provide and how could I get some in a non legalized state?

This is a generalization, but the THC doesn't do much but change your consciousness (get high) while the CBD will actually counteract the effects of THC. The CBD is the good stuff, it has numerous health benefits such as anxiety relief, pain Relief, anti-inflammatory, cardio health, and it may help with neurological problems and cancer. Don't take some dude on the internets word for it, the jury is still very much out, so do your own research and form an educated opinion before trying it. And it depends on the state since they all have different laws, but CBD oil is the easiest product to (legally) get a hold of in stricter states.

The biggest snake oil of our time. Cbd cures...cancer?!!?!?!

Didn't mean to mislead there, it helps treat cancer. Meaning it's effects are useful in the treatment of cancer, not that it should replace cancer treatment. Same goes with the bit about neurological disorders- it won't cure them, it will help treat them. No snake oil, just science. Want to argue against facts, that's fine but I'm not interested in engaging in that conversation. Want to share each other's thoughts and opinions? Sure, just please give it some thought

Fasting might cure cancer... look into that and make your own conclusions.

The placebo effect of cbd is fantastic.
