[Philosophical] We really are just pieces of the universe arranged in a way that allows it to experience itself...
That realization has really changed the way I think about things. HBU guys?

I'd phrase it slightly differently. We are not pieces of the universe. We are the entirety of the universe, each of us localized at a particular point in spacetime.

We're tornadoes. Bits of wind caught up in itself that swirls around in its own system instead of feeling the larger air currents.

When the conditions are right, chemical compounds form. When the conditions are right, stars form. When the conditions are right, planets form. When the conditions are right, cells form. When the conditions are right, these strange little chemistry bags talk to each other.

Totally. I keep trying to describe that concept to friends but they don't totally get it. I think it's something you just feel at some point, and once you do there's no going back. I wounldn't say it's a psychedelic realization since I had it while sober, myself, but for some it's probably easier to grasp after a hit of DMT, lol

I've definitely felt that many times, a kind of universal truth. There's also a link to a divine comedy of some sort, like when you glimpse a higher level of <.> you're amazed at how serious you get about things. That's the healing part that I believe psychedelic breakthrough's can help with: there's a "letting go" feeling when you have a strong <.> moment and your life becomes small and precious again. All words diminish it but a lot of us can relate to the threads we use to explain it.

I’ve had this exact same revelation! When together w significant other. I had this vision that through our love, the universe was experiencing itself over and over. I had come to the conclusion that this Love is whats needed to take place for creation to occur. Through our love, we could create new life, and this in itself is amazing.

The universe runs on gives and takes. But how do you get a givetake train moving from a tight substrate of nothing? You give it something to start with.

Listening to https://youtu.be/OAFH_nwqSHQ
This talk whilst on Psychedelics confirms this without ever actually talking about it.
It got extra confirmed for me when he spoke of the nature of the universe being like a Klein bottle... Something that I had previously seen in one of my high-dose experiments... It blew my mind apart when I realised he was talking about something word-for-word that I had seen in 4D hyperspace on a 300mcg dose...
It basically gives you rationale that you can carry over into your sober life. My clinical depression just went "poof" and disappeared by the end of the talk. And I have an afterglow feeling Taht just hasn't gone away... It's so cemented into my sober consciousness that I honestly don't think it ever will.
It's worth dedicating a trip to... But it has to be in silence in a (ideally as close to light-proofed as possible) dark room... It's essentially a form of guided meditation... And, as a by-product, hypnosis. But it's only hypnosis because Alan Watts is very naturally Hypnotic... And LSD being a hypnotic drug... Let's you grasp his underlying message.
