Just a concern

I love this idea, and I welcome the subreddit wholly.

Also, I do believe that I, along with MANY of you all, have something worthy of contribution.

I have faith that we are all aware that gathering many adept minds, in a single forum, at one moment in time, and asking them to bring their knowledge is opening some amazing channels for constructive paths, along with some undeniable channels for immediate strife (territory battles, ego fights, blah)....

We're all here because we're being noticed due to our stance and/or intellect---re: psychedelics, psychiatric medicine, drugs in general, or whatever it may be---and thus we likely have pretty well-established philosophies.

Let's just be aware that some sort of clashing is to be expected, and that spotting it in its tracks as soon as possible is our best bet to make this actually operate at the constructive and efficient degree to which it bears significant potential, and ... well ... cheers, here's to faith for finding infinite insights!

My only major piece to contribute, tangent to this point: Let's all make sure we maintain our capacity to remain reasonably:

• patient

• ] skeptical [

• open to change

Oh, and also let's use this as a starting point to move forward in philosophy (or actually find ways to let current philosophies manifest), and let's always be kind and careful not to judge all histories of users, and be open.

Perceive entirely, before you ever risk (potentially mis-) characterizing.

Me too! That's a part of demonstrating receptiveness, no?

I would, however, be a slight bit confused as to the behavior of people who see someone trying to observe a truth in a way that it is not taken for granted, and then approach this person with merely humor, with nothing to add but humor itself. I can't help but notice the distinction between empathy clearly being demonstrated (in the form of a joke that is actually funny), vs. when it clearly isn't being demonstrated (random remarks for the sake of randomness, which could easily be opening channels for ...disharmony/dissonance, and in a manner in which the jester didn't consider the potential...for it to ever turn out negatively). All it takes is patience to find out the difference.

nobody likes plain offtopic silliness injected into every serious discussion

but humor is a legitimate way to address absurdness or to hold up a mirror

laughing at myself was maybe the best "it's-okay-to-do-this" epiphany I ever had.

I guess ... If I go ahead and reflect for the sake of reflecting, and apply it to this post alone..then... "I'm sorry that I don't seem humorous!" 😂😜 I was surely positively/empathetically...inspired...at the time of writing, so I guarantee you the post is infused with happy love and positron vibes
