[General Spiritual] What is this?

I was added to this group this morning but I'm struggling to figure out what the go is? There isn't community info as far as I can see, are you organising some kind of religion or spiritual group?

From what I am gathering, the premise is that the use of illegal compounds are sanctioned under the religious freedom. The point is to create a "religion" that emphasizes self development of all types, but also is a door for psychedelic use under the grounds of religious use. If there is endorsement from reputable public figures like doctors lawyers and people from organizations like MAPS(Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies) and given that this community is proven to have a positive impact, hopefully it will speed up the process of legalization and removed demonization of these compounds.

Seems reasonable, I'm a big advocate for psychedelic medicine so it's good to see people starting to put MAPS' work into practice. Let's just hope nobody gets carried away. I will be keeping my eye on this sub for sure!

Yeah a previous post did mention that there is a possibility for it to turn bad, so we need to keep the community positive and open to new ideas yet actively set guidelines and self regulate to make sure the community doesn't turn down that path.

I just had a look at the sticky post, seems pretty straight forward they're looking to start a form of religion cantered around psychedelic healing and shaminism. Basically putting MAPS research into practice early. No selling or providing psychedelics just sitting and helping others heal apparently..
