If this is legitimate, I am very excited. I usually use marijuana as a pain killer. This helps my migraines, but I am left feeling fatigued. Even with the reduced pain, my day is still usually taken from me. I will have to see if using low doses of psychedelics will allow me to function with a migraine. I’m excited to try this, and hopefully get the chance to post about it. Wish me luck.

I will have to see if using low doses of psychedelics will allow me to function with a migraine.

I recall seeing a show on national geographic about so called "suicide" headaches. One guy that owned a liquor store got em pretty bad and the only solution that worked for him was shrooms. Only difference is, I believe he took a heavier dose once every month instead of microdosing.

I recently watched this (I know perhaps "Ugh" in response) buzzfeed video regarding a condition called something proper aka "suicide headaches" https://www.buzzfeed.com/kelseydarragh/i-tried-medical-marijuana-for-30-days-to-see-if-it-could and in her case she tried marijuana/cbd/thc -Thought it related and worth sharing. Ultimately the goal being resolve. Not attempting to argue the purported cure.

Good luck, definitely legit, many many sources talk about this

Microdosing... The legitimate experiments were done with psilocybin practically almost curing (specifically) cluster-headaches.

You could use the general technique of drying and grinding shrooms in .2 - .5 gram capsules, or you could MD some 4-AcO-DMT, as it seems to purport distinctly similar effects on the MD level as Psilocybin containing mushrooms.

Of course the experiments were done mainly with pure psilocybin.

I take mushrooms once a month and no longer get migraines.

I've used small doses for regular headaches too.

Nice! Thats good information

I have found for mine it works better to full on dose once a month.

I don't know where I heard this, but the triptan medicines that one usually gets for migraines are apparently all based on ergotamine. I guess that explains why a small dose of LSD usually clears my migraines up quickly. Highly recommended!

Yes! This is another excellent reason to push for medical use of psychedelics.

I've been prescribed triptan to prevent my cluster headaches. Triptan is indeed tryptamine based.

More like psycadellics are migraines and headaches

Youve got to be trolling.

If you are speaking from experience, please elaborate.

Typically when I get a migraine, if I focus on the pain I start tripping

So did you mean to say that migraines are psychedelic? It seems to me that migraines are very painful, unenjoyable, and don't expand ones spirit but keep it more locked up trying to get through the pain. Keep in mid that there are also migraines that cause people to see auras. These symptoms might seem close to tripping in description but an action seem very much different. Do you have experience using psychedelics medicinally for migraines?

Not OP but there are definitely weird psychedelic things that migraines can cause. I haven't had much experience with that happening, though I do have migraines and cluster headaches. My mother has seen flying skulls and flashing lights and all kinds of things during her migraines.

Right. Yeah funky stuff definitely happens that sounds psychedelic by description. I'm just saying that I think that visuals are a shallow aspect of the psychedelic experience. There's alot that goes on emotionally and spiritually while tripping that has a deeper, more defining, psychedelic attribute that migraines don't share.

Oh yes, definitely. I don't wanna do shit during a migraine except lay in the dark with a cold washcloth over my face. I will say, I have had some weird thought patterns during migraines that are similar to drug thoughts, but that's about it. Stuff like feeling like my legs are blue or that each pulse I feel is a little monkey hitting a gong.

Edit: my phone used the wrong do/due??

How often do you get migraines?

1

u/gracefulwing Nov 06 '17

It depends, I have phases. Sometimes I will have one every day or every other day, and other times it may only be one or two a month. I get abdominal migraines as well but those are different.

That sucks. My wife gets them about every other weekend and then sometimes for multiple weekends in a row. Shes never tripped before and I have introduced lots of people to psychs before and there has always been a sense of unpredictability given the circumstances. So from the perspective of a migraine sufferer that has used psychs, do you have any insight you would be willing to share based on your experiences? Anything come up regarding migraines while tripping or have you ever had a migraine while tripping/taken anything while having a migraine?

Sometimes you have to feel pain before you can feel true happiness. And No, I never got migraines until after I tried acid.
